Anne Mandel is a licensed professional counselor in charge of career services for College of Business Administration at Rider and also for Sanda students. She helps place Sanda students into internship positions. Her services include: resume writing, how to dress professionally, and how to answer interview questions appropriately.

 Internship time schedule includes spring, summer, and fall of your second year at Rider. Almost everyone has a chance to participate in interviews by American companies, and as result of the interview, you may gain paid or unpaid internships depends on the economic situation.

 American Companies that have supported the Rider/Sanda Internship program in past 5 years include: Bear Stearns, Tyco Electronics, Glaxo Sunithkline, Johnson and Johnson, Church Capital Management, AIG, Medical Diagnostic Group, Unisys, and Bloomberg.

It is a very useful resource for you to get interview preparation information, such as Broncs Career Link, Explore Career Options, Career Skills, and Job Search.

-          Student Assessment is recommended to take if you are confused with your future career.

-          Individual appointments can be scheduled with a career advisor to discuss your career plan

 

GPA is important, but it is not the only factor that your potential employers would consider. Companies are willing to hire people with rich experience in the related industries. And for American companies, community service, campus activities and volunteer works are also very important.

Besides, you should also be working on your interpersonal skills, language proficiency, and professional skills. Always be prepared!
