Learning needs reinforcement. You need to memorize some concepts for exams, but applying concepts is a better way for further study. You should reinforce your learning method in all dimensions. It is not possible for you to finish ten chapters before the midnight, the night before the final exam. You have to divide the work either following the syllabus or finding you own ways and finish the materials in time. You need to scan and skim your assignments before class and review the materials afterwards. What’s more, you should be able to relate prior knowledge with new ideas. Everything is connected. If you master previously learned materials, you will be comfortable with new materials and acquire them faster. Last but not least, you should try to apply the knowledge from books to practice. Applying knowledge to actual life and career experiences will benefit you in the future.
